In the Beginning.........

Forfeng Designs started in September of 2003 specializing in restaurant consulting. As time went on we developed a niche working with the small lodging industry, and then on to working with a broad variety of clients.

While we initially just offered site design as an added benefit, the business evolved over the next few years, and we found additional ways in which we could serve our customers. We branched out into offering graphic design services; including logo design, brochure, rack card, business card and ad design as our clients requested them. With a background in photography, we were also able to offer commercial photography to our clients; for interiors, exteriors, food styling and product stills.

In the middle of 2008, we started to have many clients coming to us interested in learning more about social media. While it was not anything that we knew much about at the time, in the interest of serving our customers, we took courses, learned as much as we could about the nuts and bolts of how social media worked. Since then we currently spend several hours a day (literally) keeping up with current changes, trends and developments in the world of social media.

Fast forward to Now:

We currently specialize in training businesses, business groups and corporate clients, in how social media works, what to do with and how to market with it properly. We no longer offer web design services, instead we have a network of designers that we will happily refer you to, depending on your industry and budget. We continue to offer hospitality consulting, graphic design and photography services as they go hand in hand with the set-up and continued marketing of social media.

Who is Forfeng?
Forfeng is Heather Turner,
a transplantee from the
Hospitality Industry.

What is Forfeng?
Forfeng is a company that keeps evolving. It started out to do just website design, and since then has expanded to offer everything from A-Z, from soup to nuts, both online and off-line. If we can't do what you need, we know someone that can and will
happily refer you to them!

The History of Forfeng?
The origin of the name Forfëng is from an old Norwegian family name. Forfëng was a champion log roller in the fjords of Norway, who was absolutely fearless when leaping from rolling log to rolling log.  Anyone in the family even five generations later (that would be Heather T.) being regarded as a bit out of the box, was known as a Forfëng.


Why use Forfeng?
Because we do our best to provide our clients with products that are to their tastes, preferences and exact specifications!

Our business is primarily referrals. WHY do our customers refer people to us? Because we have a reputation for being ethical, budget conscious, customer service orientated, responsive and quick to make changes AND we have given our customers exactly what THEY were looking for when they called us. We have a reputation for being here for when our customers need us for questions AND............ for solutions.

Heather Turner is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and has spent over 20 years in the restaurant business. She trained under one of the PBS Series "Great Chefs of America", Chef Yves Labbe at 4 Star acclaimed restaurant, Le Cheval D'or as his Chef de Cuisine and has been the Executive Chef at Bellini's Restaurant, The Cliff House at Stowe Mt. Resort and Harvest Market in Northern Vermont and at The Olde Inn on Cape Cod.

In 2003, Heather decided to make a major career change and start her own business, she had a personal background in photography and the fine arts which she wanted to put to good use.

After developing several websites for friends, it was suggested to her that she try it as a business undertaking. Thus Forfeng Designs was established in November of 2003 as a creative and alternative outlet to the restaurant industry and continues to the present day. Forfeng Designs now does a wide variety of marketing both online and in print, online design is now only a small portion of what the company offers. While we no longer design websites, we have some wonderful website design partners we work with.
